Well, today was a teaching day, and all of my energy and resources went into that. Any other time I had went to following up on a bunch of administrative stuff, so I have no research progress to report today. I was tracking down information for my promotion application file, figuring out details for the student trip I’m leading in two weeks, and following up on stuff for the department research committee and the delegation to Berkeley (Stanford University is now out, unfortunately) I’m a member of. My first inclination was not to post on days when I don’t do any research or writing, but that would be misrepresenting my process, which I don’t want to do.
The good news is that I have absolutely nothing scheduled tomorrow, and can spend the entire day immersing myself in the Meyer article. I can barely remember what I want to do with that, but I think I’m going to start with just reading the Meyer biography (I already re-read Meyer’s The Summer in Gossensass, which is the play I need to write about now). So even if I do nothing but read all day tomorrow, I’ll consider that a win. Friday is looking pretty good with an exercise class and one student meeting scheduled so far. That means I might be able to squeeze some writing in too.
